The expansion is rife with noxious pop culture references that show precisely why shoving your game full of that nonsense is a bad plan for all to its tinty. To the best of the best, it didn’t arrive anywhere near hitting what it was aiming for, so it’s a gold You Tried star. CataclysmĪs mentioned earlier, Cataclysm was at least aiming high. But that’s not even remotely acceptable, and the reality is Shadowlands was still on the worse end of several games. It wasn’t trying very hard, and even what it was trying to do wasn’t quite all that good, but it was a step up over Battle for Azeroth. The nicest thing you can say about Shadowlands is that it was trying. That’s a quarter-asset affair, isn’t it? And the story here was bad enough, so even Blizzards mp didn’t seem to understand what was happening. A large population of Warlords of Draenor built a solid leveling zone, but everything else was delicacied, created the capital and made them city collection instead of functional cities without the tools to create life-saving housing. Let’s not pretend that hitting low and striking the target is in no way a worthy achievement. Let’s not forget the extent of the expansion, whose amount of feedback it has said that is really terrible, and how terrible the story was. Where I used to say that other historically bad expansions were split between aiming low, hitting the target and aiming high and missing horribly, BfA aimed low and still screwed up. Even if it’s less charming, you remember exactly what that is called, as soon as you can. At that time you remember the actual content of these regions. The only thing that I can say about Battle for Azeroth is that we have to go to Kul Tiras and Zandalar. Before this happens, count down our entries. We’re finally having another BlizzCon coming up, and I’ll probably hear about a new expansion there. One problem is, of course, that I started thinking back when World of Warcraft was knee-deep in battle for Azeroth, and then again didn’t I have enough entries for a Perfect Ten. If you have a column, which isn’t exhaustive in all premises, and does that give sufficient expansions to rank for that, then it’s such a piggyneck. I have not yet read this column for a long time just because it is a manifest one.
